AstraPTM Preprint on bioRxiv

AstraPTM bioRxiv Preprint Publication Announcement

Orbion’s first model, AstraPTM, is now publicly available as a preprint on bioRxiv.

  • What it does

    • Predicts post-translational modifications (PTMs) in large proteins

    • Uses a Transformer architecture with ESM-2 embeddings and 1,351 residue-level features

    • Detects even partly-characterised or previously unseen PTMs

  • Why it matters
AstraPTM pushes protein-scale ML forward, opening faster, more reliable routes to functional annotation and protein design.

  • Open science
We’ve published the full “recipe” so researchers can reproduce, extend, or benchmark against our work. If you improve on AstraPTM, please cite the paper and share your results—we’d love to collaborate.
