Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Orbion platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the platform.

2. Access & Accounts

Orbion grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform for your internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Permitted Use

You agree not to:

• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform, its systems, or the accounts of other users;
• use the platform in violation of any applicable law or regulation; or
• engage in data mining, scraping, or similar data-gathering activities without our express permission.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the protein sequences and other content you submit to the platform.

You grant Orbion a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to process and analyze your submissions as necessary to operate, provide, and improve the service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

Except for the content you submit, Orbion owns all right, title, and interest in and to the platform, including its content, software, models, and algorithms. No rights are granted to you except as expressly set out in these Terms.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orbion shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform.

7. Termination

Orbion may suspend or terminate your access to the platform, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms is Berlin, Germany.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the platform after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
