Orbion at the Quantum Global Summit

Sep 22, 2026 · 2 min read

Biology runs on physics. How much of it can we understand—and predict?

That question brought Orbion to the Quantum Global Summit, organised by QAI Ventures in Basel on 17 September 2026. Through a pitch and founder panel, we shared the work that co-founders Aniruddh Goteti and Çağlar Bozkurt are building together: learning how proteins behave and using that understanding to engineer them for real-world applications.

Orbion on Stage

Çağlar Bozkurt delivered Orbion’s pitch, presenting the work of both co-founders to the quantum community.

It was an opportunity to share that work with founders, researchers and investors across the quantum community, and to discuss where AI, physics and experiments can inform one another.

From Physics to Patients

Orbion joined “From Physics to Patients: Three Founders Closing the Gap”, a Startup Spotlight panel moderated by Noah Leidinger. Çağlar Bozkurt represented the team alongside Matthias Kaiser of PexMachina and Diego Stone Aires of Qnity in a discussion about the path from scientific insight to useful life-science technology.

Orbion’s contribution centred on a research question: where biological data is limited, could a deeper account of the underlying physics help us make better predictions?

Quantum approaches could help explore aspects of protein behaviour that remain difficult to simulate, with the resulting understanding informing future models. This is a direction we are exploring alongside AI and experimental work.

Thank You, QAI Ventures

Thank you to Arianna Elena Maschietto and the QAI Ventures team for bringing the community together, to Noah Leidinger for guiding the panel, and to our fellow founders for sharing their work and perspectives.
